There’s no better way to spotlight Atlas Genius before this Thursday’s Popshop - which is still on rain, shine or hurricane (tix HERE) - than with a rework by our go-to purveyor of good vibes, Goldroom. This time, his typically tropical treatment gets all equatorial and pumps “Back Seat” with enough summer air to make your head go woozy with lip-biting nostalgia. Gale force synths come together with waxing full-moon guitars that flood your speakers amidst breezy backing vocals and ominous basslines, a perfect tropical storm of everything we want from a remix and everything we’ve come to expect from The Room. Have at it exclusively below.

LIGHTS + MUSIC 004: DANGER
We know what you did last summer, and now it's time to do it bigger than ever before. At long last, we're thrilled to announce the triumphant return of Lights + Music, picking up right where our three sold out L+M shows of summer 2011 left off but in a brand new home. Of course we're teaming up with The Knocks and Wilkes Agency once again, but this time, we're moving on up to our second home, Santos Party House, to provide an adequate rave haven for all y'all. You best believe we're taking full advantage of the plus-size floor space with a brand new DJ stage set-up (this ain't no Popshop) and more lasers and production effects than you can shake a glowstick at.
Some of you who witnessed Danger back at our June Popshop may have a faint idea of what's in store, and he's back alright, badder than ever before for another massive throwdown at Santos. Warming things up before Danger is Brooklyn's Chrome Canyon, the spaced god, tearing the roof off our very heads, and Luka Son of Wolf getting things started early and keeping them going late. It's Santos like you've never experienced it before, and it's all going down November 15th with 10pm doors and a very limited number of $10 earlybird tickets available HERE now.

POPSHOP020: WOLF GANG + ALEX METRIC
We say this a lot, sure, but we think you'll agree when we tell you that this next Popshop is quite possibly the best bill we've ever had. On any show. Ever. No hyperbole, just cold hard fact. We've got The Royal Concept all the way from Sweden starting things off early. Australian upstarts Atlas Genius stealing hearts up second. Our beloved Neon Gold alums Wolf Gang headlining live. And as if that wasn't already jaw-dropping enough, we've got arguably the best remixer in the game, Alex Metric, shutting things down in the DJ headline slot and keeping the midnight oil burning at full blast. Seriously, we can barely believe we're even typing these words, but this is real, people. We repeat, this is not a drill. It's all going down November 1st at - where else? - Santos Party House, with $10 advance tickets available HERE. Don't delay New York, this one's gonna go fassssst.

MELT AWAY UNTIL YOU'RE AFTERGLOW.
Meet Haerts, a brand new boy-girl duo hailing from Brooklyn (via Germany), and the latest addition to the HeavyRoc Music family.
Debut single "Wings" certainly lives up to its name, as Nini Fabi's love-laced vocals
float dreamily above the clouds and waxing moonlit synths dance amongst
waning guitar licks far below. Better yet, it's produced by none other than St. Lucia himself, his undeniable Midas touch guiding their rippling stream of
gold through a classic St. Lucian guitar groove. Enjoy the exclusive premiere of "Wings" below and be sure to keep an eye on this lot, as there's much more to come in the months ahead. HOLD ONTO YOUR HAERTS.

POPSHOP BK 005: CAPITAL CITIES
Before CMJ hits full force, we've got a pre-festival primer for y'all to sink your teeth into and it's called Popshop Brooklyn. This time around, we've got dueling brass barons Capital Cities and French Horn Rebellion shutting it down, in what is sure to be one of the most purely euphoric doublethreat bills we've ever put on. And on the ones and twos all night we have '80s synth jockeys FM Attack tying it all together. It's going down next Saturday, October 13th, with doors at 11:30pm and tix now available HERE. If this isn't the perfect appetizer to our two-course CMJ main event, we don't know what is.

WHO CARES FOR FUTURES.
It's been a long spell since the world last heard from
frYars, the spectral electronic outfit of London's Benjamin Garrett. A few years on from the then-teenager's ambitious debut, Dark Young Hearts, Fryars returns all grown up on his nebulous new single, "Love So Cold". The wind-swept croons let off James Blake-esque smoke signals mixed with the bleary-eyed overtones of The XX, plus the lowest lows of 808 + Heartbreaks-era Kanye thrown in for good measure. And when the soft drums roll in, the minimal
acoustics chill the dust off your winter coats right down to the tails, and
there's just no looking back.
