There’s no better way to spotlight Atlas Genius before this Thursday’s Popshop - which is still on rain, shine or hurricane (tix HERE) - than with a rework by our go-to purveyor of good vibes, Goldroom. This time, his typically tropical treatment gets all equatorial and pumps “Back Seat” with enough summer air to make your head go woozy with lip-biting nostalgia. Gale force synths come together with waxing full-moon guitars that flood your speakers amidst breezy backing vocals and ominous basslines, a perfect tropical storm of everything we want from a remix and everything we’ve come to expect from The Room. Have at it exclusively below.

The latest addition to the Neon Gold family - select copies of their debut Forever 10" EP still available HERE - are the sisters Haim, and seriously guys, it's a love thing. Catch even just one live set of theirs and you'll understand why, or just check out this perfect mini-documentary from Red Bull for an up close and personal look at the girls in their element. Part of Red Bull's Sound & Vision series, it basically plays like an origin story of our three favorite superheroes, and it'll leave you marveling. And speaking of marvels, get ready to fall in love with their newest single "Don't Save Me" if you haven't already, a breathtaking sunny-side-up megajam pooled from our '80s fever dreams, all morning glory hooks and syncopated goodness. Our knight in shining armor, St. Lucia, will be in LA this week after wrapping up his west coast run with Two Door Cinema Club (remember to come out to the official afterparty for their Palladium show with us TOMORROW), which is obviously headline news. Warming up the stage before St. L are two of our favorite new Cali bands, the worldly mystery-pop of Night Terrors of 1927 and the upbeat ruggedness of Beat Club. It's all happening this Friday at The Satellite, with doors at 8pm and $10 advance tickets available HERE. Make moves, bring your fall looks, and let's do this up big, autumn style.

We know what you did last summer, and now it's time to do it bigger than ever before. At long last, we're thrilled to announce the triumphant return of Lights + Music, picking up right where our three sold out L+M shows of summer 2011 left off but in a brand new home. Of course we're teaming up with The Knocks and Wilkes Agency once again, but this time, we're moving on up to our second home, Santos Party House, to provide an adequate rave haven for all y'all. You best believe we're taking full advantage of the plus-size floor space with a brand new DJ stage set-up (this ain't no Popshop) and more lasers and production effects than you can shake a glowstick at.

Some of you who witnessed Danger back at our June Popshop may have a faint idea of what's in store,  and he's back alright, badder than ever before for another massive throwdown at Santos. Warming things up before Danger is Brooklyn's Chrome Canyon, the spaced god, tearing the roof off our very heads, and Luka Son of Wolf getting things started early and keeping them going late. It's Santos like you've never experienced it before, and it's all going down November 15th with 10pm doors and a very limited number of $10 earlybird tickets available HERE now.

Well the time has come to finally draw the curtains and announce our special DJ headliners for the night: TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB. We're going full nocturnal and throwing Two Door's official afterparty following their headlining gig at the Palladium, as the boys come over to shut it down on the decks alongside the stellar lineup we announced last week - Goldroom, Ghost Beach, and Carousel. We also have a very special, very free Cutty Sark whisky open bar for the first hour to get things started right. It's all going down at The Echoplex at 10pm sharp for only $10 advance HERE / $12 day of show, or a special $8 reduced entry with your Palladium ticket stub. Get involved.

We say this a lot, sure, but we think you'll agree when we tell you that this next Popshop is quite possibly the best bill we've ever had. On any show. Ever. No hyperbole, just cold hard fact. We've got The Royal Concept all the way from Sweden starting things off early. Australian upstarts Atlas Genius stealing hearts up second. Our beloved Neon Gold alums Wolf Gang headlining live. And as if that wasn't already jaw-dropping enough, we've got arguably the best remixer in the game, Alex Metric, shutting things down in the DJ headline slot and keeping the midnight oil burning at full blast. Seriously, we can barely believe we're even typing these words, but this is real, people. We repeat, this is not a drill. It's all going down November 1st at - where else? - Santos Party House, with $10 advance tickets available HERE. Don't delay New York, this one's gonna go fassssst.

Popshop West has been enjoying a golden run of packed out shows these past few months, and now we're back with a very special fifth installment, going LARGE and taking it back to where it all began at Echoplex on October 25th. Leading the charge will be Popshop NYC staples Ghost Beach and Carousel - both on their maiden voyages out west - with the sunkissed electronics of Goldroom headlining the initial lineup, but be sure to check back Monday the 22nd for a very large, very special guest headliner announcement. Who knows, maybe the discerning amongst you will even be able to gather some clues from the flyer above, and the rest should just take our word for it and lock down their $10 advance tickets now HERE. Mark your calendars guys, this is gonna be one to remember.

Meet Haerts, a brand new boy-girl duo hailing from Brooklyn (via Germany), and the latest addition to the HeavyRoc Music family. Debut single "Wings" certainly lives up to its name, as Nini Fabi's love-laced vocals float dreamily above the clouds and waxing moonlit synths dance amongst waning guitar licks far below. Better yet, it's produced by none other than St. Lucia himself, his undeniable Midas touch guiding their rippling stream of gold through a classic St. Lucian guitar groove. Enjoy the exclusive premiere of "Wings" below and be sure to keep an eye on this lot, as there's much more to come in the months ahead. HOLD ONTO YOUR HAERTS.

Another year, another CMJ, and that means another star-studded double-decker New Shapes blowout at Santos Party House. If you were on the front lines with us last year, you experienced the US live debut of Gotye and oh so much more. And this year - as always - we're looking to go even bigger, as we team up with our UK brothers-in-arms, National Anthem and Chess Club, to bring you the show to end all shows Thursday night at Santos.

Upstairs, we have Brooklyn heartthrobs Lovelife, synth-noirists Citizens!, electro-superstars Strange Talk, UK stadium-indie rockers Morning Parade, and west coast supergroup extraordinaire JJAMZ. This all before headlining beauties Icona Pop shut it down in the coveted headline slot, an honor claimed by Gotye, Grouplove and Theophilus London in years past. Downstairs, we've got newborn ruffians Busy Living, Brit-crooner Gabriel Bruce, jungle-pop Aussies Jinja Safari, and west coast sunkids Pacific Air and Blondfire, before Sky Ferreira and Capital Cities closing the night out in style.

All this for the impossibly low price of $5 advance, $10 day of show, plus free entry for a limited number of CMJ badges (so arrive early!). Mark your calendars for 6pm sharp on October 18th and get your advance tickets HERE, this is one for the history books.

Before CMJ hits full force, we've got a pre-festival primer for y'all to sink your teeth into and it's called Popshop Brooklyn. This time around, we've got dueling brass barons Capital Cities and French Horn Rebellion shutting it down, in what is sure to be one of the most purely euphoric doublethreat bills we've ever put on. And on the ones and twos all night we have '80s synth jockeys FM Attack tying it all together. It's going down next Saturday, October 13th, with doors at 11:30pm and tix now available HERE. If this isn't the perfect appetizer to our two-course CMJ main event, we don't know what is.

It's been a long spell since the world last heard from frYars, the spectral electronic outfit of London's Benjamin Garrett. A few years on from the then-teenager's ambitious debut, Dark Young Hearts, Fryars returns all grown up on his nebulous new single, "Love So Cold". The wind-swept croons let off James Blake-esque smoke signals mixed with the bleary-eyed overtones of The XX, plus the lowest lows of 808 + Heartbreaks-era Kanye thrown in for good measure. And when the soft drums roll in, the minimal acoustics chill the dust off your winter coats right down to the tails, and there's just no looking back.
