BUILT IT IN THE SKY.

By now you've probably heard that we've got a new thing going at The Westway to help launch their new and improved live setup, and it's kicking off tomorrow with our nearest and dearest Savoir Adore and French Horn Rebellion. And what better way to set the mood for tomorrow's star-crossed pairing than to revisit a recent "collaboration" of theirs, when French Horn Rebellion remixed Savoir Adore's summer classic, "Dreamers", into a house party burner. It's a loopy disco-singed rework that will make the condensation stretch across your cocktail glass. Come live the dream with us tomorrow and bask in Savoir Adore's au naturel glow, tickets still available HERE.

NEON GOLD + POPGUN PRESENT: SAVOIR ADORE

Since opening in 2011, The Westway has swiftly established itself as a premiere NYC nightlife institution. Now - after a complete overhaul of their soundsystem and an upgrade to the live stage - the club's ready to become a force to be reckoned with in the NYC live scene. To celebrate we're teaming up with our friends at Popgun to bring some incredible shows their way this summer, and the first is coming in hot this month with our resident dreamweavers Savoir Adore.

Hot on the heels of the re-release of their immaculate new album and a sold out headline at Glasslands, we're stoked to have Savoir topping the marquee for our maiden voyage at Westway alongside support from family friends French Horn Rebellion. We couldn't be more excited to welcome a stellar new live venue to the fold, so be sure to come out for our latest foray into the great party unknown. It's all going down at 75 Clarkson Street on July 18th at 8pm, with $12 advance tickets available HERE. See you there.

NEED A QUEEN TO BE A KING.

French Horn Rebellion have been honing their craft in the kinetic party-disco limelight for years, so it comes as no surprise that their newest single, "Girls", is a masterclass in the art of partystarting. After a 90's flashback intro that snaps you back into the past, the heartwarming synths kick in over a cheerleading bassgroove that sashays back and forth as JD Samson's adoring vocals set the stage for Fat Tony's unrepentant flow of biblical proportions in the grand finale. It's a blossoming ode to their raison d'etre that spans several genres and generations and flourishes as the mission statement for French Horn's new life as a supergroup Party Ensemble.

POPSHOP023: FRENCH HORN PARTY ENSEMBLE

Those who reside within the greater NYC area know French Horn Rebellion as one of the city's most purely enjoyable partystarting crowdpleasers, so it's with great pleasure that we welcome them back to the Popshop stage next month. But this, dear friends, is French Horn as you've never seen them before, as they bring their 8 piece Party Ensemble - featuring The Great Apes and members of Penguin Prison, HAERTS, Savoir Adore and more - to Popshop as they look to showcase one of the most powerful party supergroups the world has ever seen. Amazing, WE KNOW.

As if that itself wasn't enough, we've got one of our favorite new UK pop starlets making her US debut as Yadi comes to town to kick things off early, before Brooklyn's finest, Workout, keep things rocking in the main support slot and the almighty Xaphoon Jones shuts things down on the decks. And since last month was so much fun, we're doing it 1000% FREE with RSVP once again, so be sure to take advantage as unfortunately a party bargain like this can't last forever. It's all going down at Santos next Thursday, February 7th, at 9pm sharp and if the line around the block last time was any indication, you'll want to get there early to ensure maximum euphoria.

POPSHOP BK 005: CAPITAL CITIES

Before CMJ hits full force, we've got a pre-festival primer for y'all to sink your teeth into and it's called Popshop Brooklyn. This time around, we've got dueling brass barons Capital Cities and French Horn Rebellion shutting it down, in what is sure to be one of the most purely euphoric doublethreat bills we've ever put on. And on the ones and twos all night we have '80s synth jockeys FM Attack tying it all together. It's going down next Saturday, October 13th, with doors at 11:30pm and tix now available HERE. If this isn't the perfect appetizer to our two-course CMJ main event, we don't know what is.

ALL THINGS GOLD: ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Hard to believe it's been a year since we first brought our party favors to the nation's capital for the first installment of All Things Gold, but hey, time flies when you're raging your face off. This Friday, we're celebrating our one year anniversary the only way we know how, with a supersized version of our monthly DC club night featuring some of our favorite bands in the game.

Getting things started early, we've got superstar electro types French Horn Rebellion alongside new wave hula sensations Vacationer, before POP ETC take things to another level as they make their international live debut proper with us. Late night, the headliners read like an All Things Gold Greatest Hits, as our resident partystarters The Knocks and the inimitable DJ force of RAC close things out in style. And as both The Knocks (twice) and RAC (once) have already sold out U Hall on their own a few times now, we're going bigger than ever before and taking things to the wide open spaces of 930 Club, for a very special (and very rare) ALL AGES extravaganza. All this and more for the bargain basement price of $20, so get your tickets HERE before it's too late. Basically, this is the show your dreams have been dreaming of, and the only thing missing is you. Consider this your cordial invitation.

Get the party started early with this exclusive All Things Gold megamix The Knocks have put together featuring the stars of Friday's show below.

The day before our double-stuffed Popshop extravaganza this Thursday, we're throwing another mega All Things Gold with our partners in co-rage, All Things Go. In the headline slot, we've got the legendary Franco-pop stalwart Yuksek (yes, two days in a row) burning down the roof, with dance-aholics French Horn Rebellion warming up the live stage and getting your body moving early on. It's all going down April 4th at our favorite venue in the nation's capital, U Street Music Hall. Cop your $12 advance tix HERE and get involved, it's gonna be another BIG night.

THIS WEEK: POPSHOP 2.0

GREAT NEWS. Popshop 2.0 is only three sleeps away, as we get ready to do it bigger than ever before with Classixx this Thursday at Santos Party House. The not so great news - we've lost another amazing act to the pitfalls of homeland security, as Morning Parade's visas were delayed until later in the month, meaning they won't be able to join us for this round of Popshop. Worry not though, they'll be back with us in March for a special pre-SXSW edition of our semiannual NEW SHAPES party as part of one of the biggest lineups we've ever brought to NYC (stay tuned).

Back to the matter at hand though. We've dug deep to find a stellar replacement for the Parade, and we're thrilled to announce that NYC's greatest rock 'n roll band Workout will be joining us on the Popshop stage, getting things popping early before French Horn Rebellion and Classixx tear it down in the headline slots. Workout are pretty much our new favorite live band in New York and it's a show that needs to be seen to be believed, so do yourself a favor and come down early - it'll be the best decision you make all month, guaranteed. It's all going down Thursday at Santos, you can cop cheap $10 adv tickets HERE before they're either sold out or $15 on the door, you're call.

INTRODUCING POPSHOP 2.0: CLASSIXX + MORE

Our first Popshop of the new year will be a change of pace and change of scenery, kickstarting a brand new year of incredible live music with the same contagious pop atmosphere we established in 2011. Getting things started on the first Popshop of 2012 are London's next huge things Morning Parade making their US live debut, before our beloved Popshop alumni French Horn Rebellion take things over in the live headline slot. Then it's time for our main event, as LA's nu disco heroes Classixx take over with a headline DJ set that'll burn the midnight oil and then the entire house down.

Despite what's perhaps our biggest lineup ever, the biggest news of the night has to be our brand new home, as we move Popshop from Tammany Hall to the wide open spaces of Santos Party House. It's a new year and a new look, as we take over the main room of Santos Party House and the city's best sound system to elevate Popshop to new levels of glory. And with our advance ticket price still locked in at $10 (or $15 day of show) and free drink specials in the works, it's just about the cheapest way to live the dream in the whole damn city. It's all going down Thursday, February 2nd at Santos Party House (96 Lafayette Street), with advance tickets available HERE now. Don't miss out friends, we're about to take it to another level.

POPSHOP008: FRENCH HORN + AVAN LAVA

It's hot outside, we know, but you'll have to forgive us for turning up the heat yet again with another smoldering Popshop lineup. This month we welcome back POPSHOP001 alums French Horn Rebellion, who tore the fucking roof off of the launch party back in January and stole the show in the main support slot. They've been killing it ever since, supporting Yelle's sold out US tour and releasing their acclaimed debut album in the meantime, so now we've got them back in the mix to crush it even harder in the headline slot. Support comes from ex-Fischerspooner electro types AVAN LAVA and the hottest new DJ duo in town on the decks, The Jane Doze, plus special live guests to be announced next week.

And since taking it to another level is all we do here, we're expanding the action to both floors at Tammany Hall with our friends at Finger On The Pulse taking over the downstairs and lighting it up with DJ sets from PUNCHES and Australia's finest, G.L.O.V.E.S. As per usual, we've got the standard open bar of Absolut from 8pm-9pm, with a free keg of Heineken in the mix late night from 2am-3am. Tickets are $10 in advance and $13 on the door and available from the Popshop site HERE.

STARS + STRIPES FESTIVAL 2011

Yes, you read the header correctly: a festival. Having spent the summers of our youth growing up on Martha's Vineyard, we've always dreamed of bringing a music festival to the island and next month we take one step closer to making that dream a reality. Enter Stars + Stripes Fest, a new annual "festival" we're bringing to Martha's Vineyard this July 4th weekend together with our friends at NUE Agency, featuring an all-star lineup of Neon Gold favorites in Savoir Adore, French Horn Rebellion, The Knocks and Chiddy Bang headlining. Sure, it's more of a mini-festival right now, but it's a jumping off point for what we hope to grow annually into a summer staple for New Englanders and - let's be real - that lineup is kind of insane.

Furthermore, it's all for a great cause, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit the newly completed Martha's Vineyard YMCA, dedicated to providing a community center for the Island population and fostering the youth of Martha's Vineyard through social programs for all ages. The YMCA is an important year-round presence on an island that - despite it's reputation as an affluent vacation destination and tourist hotspot - remains one of the poorest counties in Massachusetts and much of the Atlantic Northeast, and with the proceeds raised by Stars + Stripes we hope to finally be able to give back to the community that gave us so much in our formative years.

It's all happening Saturday, July 2nd at Nectar's MV from 9pm until late, with advance tickets available now from EventBrite for $30 at the dedicated Stars + Stripes page HERE. Basically, it's going to be the best party we've ever thrown (need we remind you of the line up?), and those of you still looking for the perfect way to spend your July 4th weekend just had your weekend sorted in a big way. Set times and mp3s below, time to go large for America y'all.

POPSHOP. THIS THURSDAY. IT'S HAPPENING.

Hope everyone's getting some solid recovery time in this week from New Year's Eve and the holiday break because we're about to do it all over again this Thursday at POPSHOP (only... bigger?). It's all popping off at 8pm with two-for-one cocktails courtesy of Absolut, then BRAHMS and French Horn Rebellion tearing it up at 9 and 10 respectively, before MNDR hits the stage for her headlining set at 11pm. Then Chiddy Bang's own Xaphoon Jones will be taking us until the early hours on the ones and twos with enough hot jams to reduce the dancefloor of Tammany Hall to smoldering ash by dawn. Entry is on a first-come-first-serve basis for the first hour and as the venue approaches capacity we'll only be allowing in names from our RSVP list, so be sure to RSVP at POPSHOP@neongoldrecords.com to make sure you're covered. And now for something to set the tone for the evening, the amazing Twelves radio edit of French Horn Rebellion's signature jam "Beaches & Friends", a track we can't wait to hear live again on Thursday after it absolutely destroyed the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival a few weeks back.

INTRODUCING: POPSHOP.

It's been an amazing year for us here at Neon Gold, and as we approach the nexus of 2010 and 2011 we've got a number of exciting new ventures in the works to take the label to great new heights in the year to come. One such thing we are able to share with you today, as we bring the curtains back on POPSHOP, a new monthly pop club night that endeavors to bring the best new pop music the world has to offer to the streets of New York City every month. Together with our dear friends at HeavyRoc Music and the amazing Popjustice, we'll be bringing you POPSHOP on the first Thursday of every month at Tammany Hall, a brilliant new venue in the heart of the Lower East Side (Orchard between Stanton and Rivington) in the space where Annex used to be (which has been gutted, completely overhauled and fitted with a soundsystem that is amazing rather than completely shit).

We've put together a lineup of some of the best new acts the NYC pop scene has to offer for our launch party January 6th, as the brilliant MNDR headlines with live support from French Horn Rebellion and BRAHMS (both fresh off of amazing sets at Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival this past weekend). Chiddy Bang beatsmith Xaphoon Jones rounds out the lineup dropping jams on the laptops of steel all night long, along with opening DJ sets from the Neon Gold Beat Company and Popjustice NYC. Our friends at Absolut have come on board to sponsor, bringing you 2-for-1 drinks from 8pm-9pm and more drink specials throughout the night. And the best part? It's all 100% FREE with RSVP to POPSHOP@neongoldrecords.com. It all kicks off Thursday, 6th January with doors at 8pm and lasting until well into the early hours. Full schedule below.
